Physical Development
The curriculum offers guidance on equipment and materials for large and small motor skill development. It focuses on eye-hand coordination as well as basic locomotor skills.
Gross Motor
- Demonstrates basic locomotor skills (running, jumping, hopping, galloping)
- Shows balance while moving
- Climbs up and down
- Pedals and steers a tricycle
- Demonstrates throwing: kicking, throwing, and catching skills
Fine Motor
- Controls small muscles in hands
- Coordinates eye-hand movement
- Uses tools for writing and drawing
